Current status: Valid as Nannocharax chochamandai Manda, Snoeks, Decru, Brecko & Vreven 2023. Distichodontidae. Distribution: Central Africa: Lualaba, Luvua and Lukuga River drainages, Congo River basin, Democratic Republic of Congo. Habitat: freshwater.
