Holotype: CNGZNU 20230216001. Paratypes: CNGZNU 20230216002-25 (24), 2020011505-09 (5). •Valid as Oreonectes damingshanensis Yu, Luo, Lan, Xiao & Zhou 2023 -- (Luo et al. 2024:294 [ref. 40971], Lan et al. 2024:14 [ref. 41513], Zhong et al. 2024:1265 [ref. 41544], Liao et al. 2025:1772 [ref. 42360], Chen et al. 2025:372 [ref. 42475], Chen et al. 2026:127 [ref. 42754]). Current status: Valid as Oreonectes damingshanensis Yu, Luo, Lan, Xiao & Zhou 2023. Nemacheilidae. Distribution: East Asia: streams in the Damingshan Mountains of Mashan and Shanglin counties, Hongshuihe River drainage, upper Pearl River basin, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China. Habitat: freshwater.
