Holotype: KIZ 2008000908. Paratypes: KIZ 2008000899-909 (15). •Valid as Mastacembelus truttoides Endruweit 2024 -- (Britz & Kottelat 2025:673 [ref. 42629]). Current status: Valid as Mastacembelus truttoides Endruweit 2024. Mastacembelidae. Distribution: Southeast Asia: Namxihe River drainage, upper Red River basin, Wenshan Prefecture, Yunnan Province, China. Habitat: freshwater.
