Holotype: KIZ 1998000896. Paratypes: KIZ 1998000890-895 (6), 897-904 (8). •Valid as Rhinogobius amoniceps (Endruweit 2024). Current status: Valid as Rhinogobius amoniceps (Endruweit 2024). Oxudercidae: Gobionellinae. Distribution: East Asia: Weng'an River drainage, Yangtze River basin, Guizhou (China). IUCN (2024): Not Assessed. Habitat: freshwater.
