Holotype: KIZ 2015004445. Paratypes: KIZ 2015004442-4444 (3), 2015004446-4463 (18). Plus additional non-type material. •Valid as Rhinogobius valentulus (Endruweit 2024). Current status: Valid as Rhinogobius valentulus (Endruweit 2024). Oxudercidae: Gobionellinae. Distribution: East Asia: upper Yuanjiang River drainage, Guizhou Province, China. Habitat: freshwater.
