Holotype: IMARPE 19082. Paratypes: IMARPE, MECN, MEPN, MNHN. Plus additional non-type material. •Valid as Aulopus chirichignoae Béarez, Zavalaga & Miranda 2024 -- (Victor et al. 2024:76 [ref. 42021]). Current status: Valid as Aulopus chirichignoae Béarez, Zavalaga & Miranda 2024. Aulopidae. Distribution: Eastern Pacific: Ecuador to northern Peru, including Galapagos Islands (Ecuador). IUCN (2025): Not Assessed. Habitat: marine.
