In the etymology the name viridicauda is erroneously treated as an adjective, but the name must be a noun in apposition. •Valid as Enneapterygius viridicauda Fricke, Erdmann & Sianipar 2024. Current status: Valid as Enneapterygius viridicauda Fricke, Erdmann & Sianipar 2024. Tripterygiidae: Tripterygiinae. Distribution: Eastern Indian Ocean: southwest Flores Island and ?Rinca Island (Indonesia). Habitat: marine.
