iridescens, Nothobranchius Nagy [B.] 2025:16, Figs. 7, 8a [Ecology and Diversity v. 2 (no. 2); ref. 42235] Shallow remnant pools in seasonal floodplain, 8 km northwest of Lutandula village, Kafila system, Lufira drainage, Democratic Republic of Congo, 10°49'44"S, 27°48'09"E, elevation 1062 meters. Holotype: MRAC 2025.008.P.0003. Paratypes: MRAC 2025.008.P.0004 (1), 2025.008.P.0005-0010 (6). •Valid as Nothobranchius iridescens Nagy 2025 -- (Nagy et al. 2026:3 [ref. 43152]). Current status: Valid as Nothobranchius iridescens Nagy 2025. Nothobranchiidae. Distribution: Central Africa: middle Lufira River drainage, upper Congo River basin, southeastern Democratic Republic of Congo. Habitat: freshwater.
