(2); SMF 17093-94 (1, 1); WAM P.25850-008 (10). Type catalog: Hutchins & Smith 1991:37 [ref. 19335], Moore et al. 2008:40 [ref. 30117]. •Synonym of Parablennius tasmanianus (Richardson 1842), but a valid subspecies as described -- (Bath 1989:298 [ref. 13310], Bath 1996:92 [ref. 22687]). •Valid as Parablennius postoculomaculatus Bath & Hutchins 1986 -- (Hutchins 2001:41 [ref. 25847], Hoese & Bray 2006:1559 [ref. 29000], Bath 2008:88 [ref. 29600], Smith-Vaniz 2008:695 [ref. 30654], Hoschke et al. 2019:159 [ref. 36626]). Current status: Valid as Parablennius postoculomaculatus Bath & Hutchins 1986. Blenniidae: Salariinae. Distribution: Southeastern Indian Ocean: Western Australia. Habitat: brackish, marine.
