Paratypes: WAM P.14158-001 to P.14171-001 (14), P.14173-001 to P.14176-001 (4, 1 missing), P.14983-001 (1), P.15242-001 to P.15246-001 (5), P.19230-001, P.28607-001 [ex PO.190-PO.204] (15, skel.). Type catalog: Hutchins & Smith 1991:26 [ref. 19335], Moore et al. 2008:28 [ref. 30117]. •Valid as Sillago vittata McKay 1985 -- (Allen & Swainston 1988:62 [ref. 25477], Paxton et al. 1989:546 [ref. 12442], McKay 1992:64 [ref. 20879], Allen 1997:98 [ref. 23977], Hutchins 2001:32 [ref. 25847], Paxton et al. 2006:1125 [ref. 29086], Kaga 2013:92 [ref. 32686], Hoschke et al. 2019:156 [ref. 36626], Gloerfelt-Tarp & Kailola 2022:157 [ref. 41223]). Current status: Valid as Sillago vittata McKay 1985. Sillaginidae. Distribution: Southeastern Indian Ocean: Maud Landing south to Rottnest Island (Western Australia endemic). Habitat: marine.
