Paratypes: CUB (uncat. 1). •Valid as Escualosa elongata Wongratana 1983 -- (Whitehead 1985:118 [ref. 5141], Munroe et al. 1999:1794 [ref. 24728], Munroe & Nizinski in Randall & Lim 2000:587 [ref. 25122], Pillai et al. 2026:340 [ref. 43035]). Current status: Valid as Escualosa elongata Wongratana 1983. Dorosomatidae. Distribution: Western Pacific: Gulf of Thailand (Thailand). IUCN (2017): Data Deficient. Record from India needs verification. Habitat: marine.
