Paratypes: BMNH 1935.4.18.9 (1), BMNH 1965.7.5.1-10 (10). •Valid as Sardinella richardsoni Wongratana 1983 -- (Whitehead 1985:110 [ref. 5141], Munroe & Nizinski in Randall & Lim 2000:587 [ref. 25122], Stern et al. 2016:18 [ref. 34733]). Current status: Valid as Sardinella richardsoni Wongratana 1983. Dorosomatidae. Distribution: Western North Pacific. Habitat: marine.
