tengi, Crossostoma Watanabe [M.] 1983:111, Figs. 5, 6b, 7b [Bulletin of the Biogeographical Society of Japan v. 38 (no. 11); ref. 8266] Kaochung, Kaoshiung County, Taiwan. Holotype: WIRI 20. Paratypes: WIRI 18-19 (2), 88 (1), 147-148 (2), 150 (1), 153 (1), 156 (1), 164-65 (2). Type catalog: Ho & Shao 2011:32 [ref. 31432]. See account of Formosania; the genus Crossostoma is preoccupied. The genus is feminine, therefore mandatory correction to lacustris. •Synonym of Crossostoma lacustre Steindachner 1908 -- (Tzeng et al. 1990 [ref. 16723]). •Valid as Formosania tengi (Watanabe 1893) -- (Kottelat 2012:61 [ref. 32367]). •Synonym of Formosania lacustris (Steindachner 1908) -- (Novák et al. 2006:92 [ref. 28661], Ho & Shao 2011:32 [ref. 31432], Zhang et al. 2016:159 [ref. 34477]). Current status: Synonym of Formosania lacustris (Steindachner 1908). Gastromyzontidae. Habitat: freshwater.
