A.] & Géry [J.] 1983:566, Fig. 2 [Revue Suisse de Zoologie v. 90 (no. 3); ref. 8307] Small tributary of Río Chapare at San Francisco de Chipiriri, about 100 kilometers east of Cochabamba, [tentatively 16°45'00"S, 65°18'30"W], Bolivia. Holotype: ZSM 26095. Paratypes: MHNG 2098.10-11 (2), MZUSP 25719-20 (1, 1), USNM 228088 (1), ZSM 26094 (1). Type catalog: Oyakawa 1996:489 [ref. 23140], Neumann 2011:246 [ref. 31652]. •Valid as Oligosarcus schindleri Menezes & Géry 1983 -- (Menezes 1987:26 [ref. 20060], Menezes in Reis et al. 2003:152 [ref. 27061], Ribeiro et al. 2007:52 [ref. 29321], Sarmiento et al. 2014:185 [ref. 35004], Ribeiro & Menezes 2015:79 [ref. 33768], Menezes & Camelier 2024:245 [ref. 40817]). Current status: Valid as Oligosarcus schindleri Menezes & Géry 1983. Characidae: Stethaprioninae. Distribution: South America: Chapare River basin and lagoons near Cochabamba, Bolivia. Habitat: freshwater.
