R.] in Allen 1982:57, Pl. 13, fig. 5 [Inland fishes of Western Australia; ref. 21819] Wyulda Creek, about 2 kilometers above junction with Roe River, West Kimberley, Western Australia, about 15°26'S, 125°37'E. Holotype: WAM P.25028-009. Paratypes: AMS I.22744-001 (5); WAM P.25028-007 (11, not 12), P.25040-004 (14). Type catalog: Hutchins & Smith 1991:41 [ref. 19335], Moore et al. 2008:47 [ref. 30117]. Also appeared in Hoese & Allen 1983:250, fig. 4 [ref. 8331]. •Valid as Hypseleotris regalis Hoese & Allen 1982 -- (Unmack 2001:1063 [ref. 25797], Hutchins 2001:44 [ref. 25847], Allen et al. 2002:298 [ref. 25930], Thacker & Unmack 2005:2 [ref. 28186] dated to 1983, Hoese 2006:1603 [ref. 28998], Larson 2007:115 [ref. 29458], Morgan et al. 2011:19 [ref. 31262], Parenti 2021:48 [ref. 38603], Thacker et al. 2022:3 [ref. 39170], Shelley et al. 2023:354 [ref. 40279]). Current status: Valid as Hypseleotris regalis Hoese & Allen 1982. Eleotridae: Eleotrinae. Distribution: Australia: Prince Regent and Roe River endemic (Kimberley, Western Australia). Habitat: freshwater.
