Current status: Valid as Acanthobrama hadiyahensis Coad, Alkahem & Behnke 1983. Leuciscidae: Leuciscinae. Distribution: Middle East: Khaibar and northern Hijaz (Saudi Arabia). Habitat: freshwater.
