C.] & Pürzl [E.] 1981:193, Figs. 1, 3 (top) [Aquaria: Vivaristische Fachzeitschrift mit Vereinsmitteilungen v. 28 (no. 12); ref. 8429] Rainforest creek, southwestern flank of Du-Chaillu Massives, Ngounié, 25 kilometers east-northeast of N'Dendé, on road to Lebamba, about 2°14'S, 11°27'E, Ngunié Province, southwestern Gabon. Holotype: Radda Coll. Paratypes: MRAC 80-54-P-1122-1125 (4). •Valid as Epiplatys huberi (Radda & Pürzl 1981) -- (Wildekamp et al. 1986:253 [ref. 6198], Wildekamp 1996:77 [ref. 23649], Seegers 1997:16 [ref. 23895], Lazara 2001:107 [ref. 25711], van der Zee et al. 2007:97 [ref. 30034], Fermon et al. 2022:263 [ref. 39448]). Current status: Valid as Epiplatys huberi (Radda & Pürzl 1981). Nothobranchiidae. Distribution: Western-central Africa: Gabon endemic. Habitat: freshwater.
