Paratypes: (52) MRAC 80-54-P-1537-45 (9), 80-54-P-1546-85 (40). •Valid as Aphyosemion hofmanni Radda 1980 -- (Wildekamp et al. 1986:218 [ref. 6198] as hofmani, Wildekamp 1993:194 [ref. 26378], Lazara 2001:24 [ref. 25711], van der Zee et al. 2007:207 [ref. 30034], Valdesalici & Eberl 2014:112 [ref. 33277], van der Zee et al. 2018:86 [ref. 35718], Fermon et al. 2022:258 [ref. 39448]). Current status: Valid as Aphyosemion hofmanni Radda 1980. Nothobranchiidae. Distribution: Western-central Africa: southern Gabon endemic. Habitat: freshwater.
