Paratypes: HUMZ 75138-40 (1, 1, 1), 75141-75144 (4), 80427 (1). •Valid as Grammatonotus macrophthalmus Katayama, Yamamoto & Yamakawa 1982 -- (Yamakawa in Okamura et al. 1982:221, 373 [ref. 8256] with genus as Gramatonotus, Matsuura & Tachikawa 1994:143 [ref. 21905], Nakabo 2000:732 [ref. 25086], Nakabo 2002:732 [ref. 26001], Kanou et al. 2003:39 [ref. 27057], Mundy & Parrish 2004:405 [ref. 27877], Prokofiev 2006:17 [ref. 28506], Mundy 2005:351 [ref. 28379], Anderson et al. 2016:289 [ref. 34802], Anderson & Johnson 2017:187 [ref. 35189], Anderson et al. 2018:68 [ref. 36270], Prokofiev 2018:398 [450] [ref. 36152] as cf. macrophthalmus). Current status: Valid as Grammatonotus macrophthalmus Katayama, Yamamoto & Yamakawa 1982. Callanthiidae. Distribution: Western and central Pacific: Kyushu-Palau Ridge and Ogasawara Islands; Hawaiian Islands; perhaps southern Japan, Chesterfield Islands (New Caledonia). Habitat: marine.
