Holotype: NPIB 71005. Paratypes: NPIB 71001 (1), 71003-04 (1, 1). Original genus is correctly Nemacheilus. •Valid as Triplophysa markehenensis (Zhu & Wu 1981) -- (Zhu 1989:91 [ref. 17744], Wu & Wu 1992:166 [ref. 21205], Ding 1994:76 [ref. 21531], Zhu 1995:115 [ref. 25213], Chen & Zhang in Chen 1998:72 [ref. 23556], Kottelat 2012:128 [ref. 32367], Yan et al. 2015:304 [ref. 33966], Zhang et al. 2016:140 [ref. 34477], Wu et al. 2016:295 [ref. 34665], Guo 2021:547 [ref. 38618]). Current status: Valid as Triplophysa markehenensis (Zhu & Wu 1981). Nemacheilidae. Distribution: Upper Yangtze River basin, China. Habitat: freshwater.
