Type catalog: Weber 1998:12 [ref. 32707]. •Doubtfully valid as Rivulus rubrolineatus Fels & de Rham 1981 -- (Huber 1992:391 [ref. 20639]). •Valid as Rivulus rubrolineatus Fels & de Rham 1981 -- (Ortega & Vari 1986:19 [ref. 9708], Lazara 2001:283 [ref. 25711], Costa 2006:139, 165 [ref. 28875] in subgenus Cynodonichthys, Valdesalici & Schindler 2011:313 [ref. 31673] in subgenus Cynodonichthys, Barriga Salazar 2014:117 [ref. 35745]). •Valid as Anablepsoides rubrolineatus (Fels & de Rham 1981) -- (Costa 2011:243 [ref. 31655], Costa 2013:346 [ref. 32528], Valdesalici & Schindler 2013:296 [ref. 33109], Nielsen et al. 2016:70 [ref. 34406], Nielsen 2016:166 [ref. 34861], DoNascimiento et al. 2017:101 [ref. 35633], Valdesalici & Gil 2019:152 [ref. 37074], Meza-Vargas et al. 2021:27 [ref. 39298]).
