Holotype: MNHN 1980-1125. Paratypes: MNHN 1980-1126 and 1127 (3, 4). •Valid as Epiplatys phoeniceps Huber 1980 -- (Wildekamp et al. 1986:256 [ref. 6198], Wildekamp 1996:110 [ref. 23649], Seegers 1997:16 [ref. 23895], Lazara 2001:110 [ref. 25711], van der Zee et al. 2013:414 [ref. 32829]). Current status: Valid as Epiplatys phoeniceps Huber 1980. Nothobranchiidae. Distribution: Congo. Habitat: freshwater.
