Type catalog: Ibarra & Stewart 1987:24 [ref. 12367]. •Valid as Chromis meridiana Greenfield & Woods 1980 -- (Pequeño 1989:63 [ref. 14125], Allen 1991:240 [ref. 19344], Pequeño 1998:90 [ref. 24567], Pequeño & Lamilla 2000:434 [ref. 24906], Dyer & Westneat 2010:608 [ref. 31446], Shepherd et al. 2020:330 [ref. 37520], Parenti 2021:54 [ref. 38418]). •Valid as Azurina meridiana (Greenfield & Woods 1980) -- (Tang et al. 2021:273 [ref. 38308]). Current status: Valid as Azurina meridiana (Greenfield & Woods 1980). Pomacentridae: Chrominae. Distribution: Southeastern Pacific: Desventuradas Islands (Chile), possibly Juan Fernandez Islands. Habitat: marine.
