Current status: Valid as Ogcocephalus declivirostris Bradbury 1980. Ogcocephalidae. Distribution: Western Atlantic: Florida (U.S.A.) south to Rio Grande do Norte (Brazil), including Gulf of Mexico. Habitat: marine.
