Current status: Valid as Pseudoxiphophorus attenuatus (Rosen & Bailey 1979). Poeciliidae: Poeciliinae. Distribution: Central America: Candelaria Yalicar River drainage, Alta Verapaz (Guatemala) endemic. Habitat: freshwater.
