Paratypes: CAS 33808 (10); IMARPE 1199 (1); LACM 35562-1 (10); UF 232871 [ex UMML 32871] (5); USNM 216346 (22). •Synonym of Lepophidium microlepis (Gilbert 1890), but a valid subspecies as described -- (Robins in Nielsen et al. 1999:36 [ref. 24448]). •Valid as Lepophidium inca Robins & Lea 1978 -- (Robins et al. 2012:35 [ref. 32161]). Current status: Valid as Lepophidium inca Robins & Lea 1978. Ophidiidae: Ophidiinae. Distribution: Eastern Pacific: northern Peru. Habitat: marine.
