Bertin lists 2 paratypes and Gosse lists only a holotype (1886-319), and the original lists 2 specimens; MNHN 1886-319 is designated lectotype by Boden et al. 1997:1674 [ref. 23218]. •Valid as Marcusenius lambouri (Pellegrin 1904) -- (Gosse 1984:84 [ref. 6169], Mambo Baba et al. 2020:[7] [ref. 37385]). •Synonym of Marcusenius moorii (Günther 1867) -- (Boden et al. 1997:1672 [ref. 23218]). Current status: Valid as Marcusenius lambouri (Pellegrin 1904). Mormyridae. Distribution: Middle Congo basin. Habitat: freshwater.
