M. macracanthus is a nomen nudum and type is therefore argentea. Mesopristes Fowler 1918 would be recognized only if one disagrees with analysis of name in synonymy as applied to Mesopristes Bleeker 1873. •Synonym of Mesopristes Bleeker 1873.
