Cotilla Billberg [G. J.] 1833:52 Fem. Cotilla frenata Billberg 1833. Type by monotypy. Based on the "Baliste bride" of Lacepède (1798: 378). Not used as valid after 1899; therefore reversal of priority in favor of Sufflamen Jordan 1916 is followed (ICZN Art. 23.9). •Synonym of Sufflamen Jordan 1916 -- (Kullander 2016:109 [ref. 34147], Parenti 2021:659 [ref. 38921]). Current status: Synonym of Sufflamen Jordan 1916. Balistidae. |
