Coccotropsis Barnard [K. H.] 1927:75 Fem. Tetraroge gymnoderma Gilchrist 1906. Type by original designation (also monotypic). Also appeared in Barnard 1927 (Oct.):919 [ref. 194]. Treated in a new subfamily Coccotropsinae by Mandrytsa 2001:261 [ref. 25636]. •Valid as Coccotropsis Barnard 1927 -- (Washington et al. 1984:440 [ref. 13660], Poss 1986:479 [ref. 6296], Mandrytsa 2001:261 [ref. 25636], Chungthanawong & Motomura 2021:[4] [ref. 38168]). Current status: Valid as Coccotropsis Barnard 1927. Synanceiidae: Tetraroginae.
