alberti, Curimatus Günther [A.] 1880:12 [Annals and Magazine of Natural History (Series 5) v. 6 (no. 31) (art. 2); ref. 14279] Not available; appeared under Curimatus platanus as [C. platanus is] "Allied to Curimatus Alberti, but with considerably smaller scales." That has been regarded as insufficient description to make available. The name was listed by Eigenmann & Eigenmann 1891:47 [ref. 47] with reference to Günther '80a [sic, '80]:12 [= ref. 14279] and to Eigenmann & Eigenmann 1889 [= ref. 1254, p. 2]; in the later reference it is stated, "One species of Curimatus, C. alberti, has been omitted, as we had no description of it." •Unavailable name -- (Toledo-Piza et al. 2024:443 [ref. 40817]). Spelled amozonica but name based on "Amazons" and consistently spelled amazonica in Eigenmann & Eigenmann 1889:413 [5] [ref. 1254] (p. 5 of separate), in which the species was described again.
