Current status: Valid as Lasiognathus amphirhamphus Pietsch 2005. Thaumatichthyidae. Distribution: Eastern Atlantic, off Madeira, Madeira Abyssal Plain [one specimen known]. Habitat: marine.

Current status: Synonym of Lasiognathus saccostoma Regan 1925. Thaumatichthyidae. Habitat: marine.
