Current status: Valid as Aethotaxis mitopteryx DeWitt 1962. Nototheniidae: Pleuragrammatinae. Distribution: Southern Ocean: circum-Antarctic. Habitat: marine.

Syntypes: USNM 214688 (1) South Shetland Plateau. Based on specimens in several references. •Synonym of Aethotaxis mitopteryx DeWitt 1962, but a valid subspecies as described -- (Miller 2001:451 [ref. 36665]). Current status: Synonym of Aethotaxis mitopteryx DeWitt 1962. Nototheniidae: Pleuragrammatinae. Habitat: marine.
