Current status: Synonym of Astroscopus y-graecum (Cuvier 1829). Uranoscopidae. Habitat: marine.

y-graecum, Uranoscopus Cuvier [G.] in Cuvier & Valenciennes 1829:308 [Histoire naturelle des poissons v. 3; ref. 4879] No locality. Syntypes: MNHN A-5602 (1, dry). Originally as Y graecum. Appeared first as name only in Cuvier 1829:154 [ref. 995].
