The holotype of Angelichthys isabelita Jordan & Rutter 1898 was made the neotype of Holacanthus ciliaris bermudensis Goode, 1876, thus making the former a junior objective synonym of the latter, and the name Angelichthys isabelita was placed on the Official List of Rejected and Invalid Specific Names in Zoology (ICZN, Opinion 2003). •Valid as Holacanthus isabelita (Jordan & Rutter 1898) -- (Feddern 1968:351 [ref. 21623]). •Synonym of Holacanthus bermudensis Goode 1876 -- (Allen 1980:250 [ref. 22764], Smith-Vaniz et al. 1999:277 [ref. 25013], Burgess 2003:1679 [ref. 27101], McEachran & Fechhelm 2005:475 [ref. 28815]).
