Holotype: ZIN 41196. Paratypes: ZIN 41196 (now 3, with holotype). On p. 869 in English translation. •Valid as Hozukius guyotensis Barsukov & Fedorov 1975 -- (Kanayama in Okamura et al. 1982:271, 393 [ref. 8256], Kanayama in Amaoka et al. 1983:153, 212 [ref. 8379], Amaoka in Masuda et al. 1984:313 [ref. 6441], Nakabo 2000:586 [ref. 25086], Shytko 2001:9 [ref. 26410], Nakabo 2002:586 [ref. 26001], Mundy 2005:325 [ref. 28379]). Current status: Valid as Hozukius guyotensis Barsukov & Fedorov 1975. Scorpaenidae: Sebastinae. Distribution: Central Pacific: northern Hawaiian Ridge endemic. Habitat: marine.
