Holotype: MZUSP 44685. Paratypes: NRM 27058 (1). •Valid as Nannacara adoketa Kullander & Prada-Pedreros 1993 -- (Kullander in Reis et al. 2003:639 [ref. 27061], Staeck 2003:168 [ref. 27488]). •Valid as Ivanacara adoketa (Kullander & Prada-Pedreros 1993) -- (Römer & Hahn 2006:1190 [ref. 28965], Staeck 2017:251 [ref. 35639]). Current status: Valid as Ivanacara adoketa (Kullander & Prada-Pedreros 1993). Cichlidae: Cichlinae. Distribution: Middle Negro River drainage, Amazon basin, Brazil. Habitat: freshwater.
