Current status: Valid as Myomyrus macrodon Boulenger 1898. Mormyridae. Distribution: Central Africa. Habitat: freshwater.

macrops, Myomyrus Boulenger [G. A.] 1914:383 [Annals and Magazine of Natural History (Series 8) v. 14 (no. 83) (art. 28); ref. 14145] Ja River, and Bumba River, a tributary of the Ja River, Cameroon. Syntypes: (4) BMNH 1920.5.17.1-3 (3) Ja R., ?BMNH 1909.7.9.23-24 (?1). •Valid as Myomyrus macrops Boulenger 1914 -- (Gosse 1984:107 [ref. 6169], Poll & Gosse 1995:135 [ref. 24781], Kiselkewa et al. 2020:[7] 706 [ref. 38315], Munene et al. 2021:21 [ref. 39283], Stiassny et al. 2021:1686 [ref. 39000]). Current status: Valid as Myomyrus macrops Boulenger 1914. Mormyridae. Distribution: Western and central Africa. Habitat: freshwater.
