Type catalog: Ibarra & Stewart 1987:35 [ref. 12367]. •Synonym of Neoepinnula orientalis (Gilchrist & von Bonde 1924) -- (Nakamura & Parin 1993:34 [ref. 21769]). Current status: Synonym of Neoepinnula orientalis (Gilchrist & von Bonde 1924). Gempylidae. Habitat: marine.
