Holotype (unique): RMNH 5886 (possibly 1 of 17). •Synonym of Vespicula depressifrons (Richardson 1848) -- (authors). •Synonym of Neovespicula depressifrons (Richardson 1848) -- (based on Mandrytsa 2001:278 [ref. 25636], Kottelat 2013:315 [ref. 32989]). Current status: Synonym of Neovespicula depressifrons (Richardson 1848). Synanceiidae: Tetraroginae. Habitat: marine.

Holotype (unique): whereabouts unknown. •Valid as Vespicula depressifrons (Richardson 1848) -- (Kottelat et al. 1993:102 [ref. 23448], Poss 1999:2352 [ref. 24796]). •Valid as Neovespicula depressifrons (Richardson 1848) -- (Mandrytsa 2001:278 [ref. 25636], Kottelat 2013:315 [ref. 32989], Miesen et al. 2016:88 [ref. 34492]). Current status: Valid as Neovespicula depressifrons (Richardson 1848). Synanceiidae: Tetraroginae. Distribution: Indo-West Pacific. Habitat: brackish, marine.

Holotype (unique): apparently lost, 17 in RMNH 5886 are too small. •Synonym of Vespicula depressifrons (Richardson 1848) -- (authors). •Synonym of Neovespicula depressifrons (Richardson 1848) -- (based on Mandrytsa 2001:278 [ref. 25636], Kottelat 2013:315 [ref. 32989], Miesen et al. 2016:88 [ref. 34492]). Current status: Synonym of Neovespicula depressifrons (Richardson 1848). Synanceiidae: Tetraroginae. Habitat: marine.
