Syntypes: MNHN 0000-8998 (1), A-4214 (4), A-4215 (1), MNHN Lab. Pêches Coloniales [now Pêches Outre-mer] (1, not found). Type catalog: Bauchot & Desoutter 1987:18 [ref. 6382]. Combined with a feminine genus the adjective should be perarmata. •Valid as Otolithoides perarmatus (Chabanaud 1926) -- (Trewavas 1977:304 [ref. 4459]). •Valid as Panna perarmata (Chabanaud 1926) -- (Sasaki 1995:35 [ref. 22678] as perarmatus, Sasaki in Randall & Lim 2000:621 [ref. 25122] as perarmatus, Sasaki 2001:3167 [ref. 26108] as perarmatus, Kottelat 2013:359 [ref. 32989], Parenti 2020:39 [ref. 37439] as perarmatus). Current status: Valid as Panna perarmata (Chabanaud 1926). Sciaenidae. Distribution: Western Pacific: Gulf of Thailand and western Borneo. Habitat: brackish, marine.
