Holotype: USNM 163368. Paratypes: (3) FMNH 47915-16 (1, 1), plus 3 as study material. Type catalog: Ibarra & Stewart 1987:71 [ref. 12367]. •Valid as Pseudoraja fischeri Bigelow & Schroeder 1954 -- (McEachran & Fechhelm 1982:450 [ref. 8444], Castro-Aguirre & Espinosa Pérez 1996:26 [ref. 22793], McEachran & Dunn 1998:286 [ref. 23312], McEachran & Fechhelm 1998:164 [ref. 23897], McEachran & Carvalho 2003:559 [ref. 26985], Del Moral-Flores et al. 2016:111 [ref. 34398], Weigmann 2016:101 [ref. 34211], Last et al. 2016:28 [ref. 34941] with question, Last et al. 2016:464 [ref. 35005], Ehemann et al. 2018:24 [ref. 36194]). Current status: Valid as Pseudoraja fischeri Bigelow & Schroeder 1954. Arhynchobatidae. Distribution: Western Atlantic. Habitat: marine.
