The specific name is an indeclinable noun. •Species inquirenda in genus Acanthodoras -- (Sabaj & Ferraris in Reis et al. 2003:458 [ref. 27061], Ferraris 2007:168 [ref. 29155]). •Valid as Acanthodoras polygramma (Kner 1853) -- (Sabaj & Mariangeles 2021:30 [ref. 38877] as polygrammus). Current status: Valid as Acanthodoras polygramma (Kner 1853). Doradidae: Acanthodoradinae. Distribution: South America: Amazon River basin. Habitat: freshwater.
