wuendschi, Aphyosemion hanneloreae Radda [A. C.] & Pürzl [E.] 1985:159, Figs. 2-3 [Aquaria: Vivaristische Fachzeitschrift mit Vereinsmitteilungen v. 32 (no. 11); ref. 17262] Rainforest swamp-creek, 50 kilometers south of Mbigou, on the road to Malinga, Ngounié Province, southern Gabon, elevation about 600 meters. Holotype: NMW not researched. Paratypes: NMW (3). Appears as Aphyosemion h. wuendschi sp. nov. [we regard as a new subspecies]. •Questionably valid as a subspecies of Aphyosemion hanneloreae Radda & Pürzl 1985 -- (Wildekamp 1993:187 [ref. 26378]). •Synonym of Aphyosemion hanneloreae Radda & Pürzl 1985, but a valid subspecies as described -- (Lazara 2001:23 [ref. 25711]). •Valid as Aphyosemion wuendschi Radda & Pürzl 1985 -- (van der Zee et al. 2007:213 [ref. 30034], Valdesalici & Eberl 2014:112 [ref. 33277], Fermon et al. 2022:262 [ref. 39448]). Current status: Valid as Aphyosemion wuendschi Radda & Pürzl 1985. Nothobranchiidae. Distribution: Western-central Africa: southern Gabon endemic. Habitat: freshwater.
