Was to have appeared in Heemstra & Randall "1986" in the Ichth. Bull. Rhodes Univ., but that work apparently not published; species name dates to reference as given above. Distribution: Indian Ocean: Aliwal Shoal and KwaZulu-Natal (South Africa), Madagascar, Seychelles and western Mascarenes (La Réunion, Mauritius) east to Maldives, Chagos Archipelago and Andaman Islands.
