Holotype: NRM 48424. Paratypes: CAS 88869 (3); NRM 44000 (19). •Valid as Badis ferrarisi Kullander & Britz 2002 -- (Vishwanath & Shanta 2004:1621 [ref. 27861], Geetakumari & Vishwanath 2010:646 [ref. 30699], Schindler & Linke 2010:212 [ref. 31069], Geetakumari & Kadu 2011:2085 [ref. 31540], Kottelat 2013:367 [ref. 32989], Dahanukar et al. 2015:434 [ref. 33730], Lalramliana et al. 2021:13 [ref. 38526], Shangningam & Kosygin 2022:61 [ref. 39587]). Current status: Valid as Badis ferrarisi Kullander & Britz 2002. Badidae. Distribution: South Asia: Chindwin River drainage, Irrawaddy River basin, Myanmar and Manipur (India). Habitat: freshwater.
