Original genus should have been Heliases. •Synonym of Chromis chromis (Linnaeus 1758) -- (Monod 1973:424 [ref. 7193]). •Valid as Chromis bicolor (Rochebrune 1880) -- (Lloris & Rucabado 1990:845 [ref. 15959]). •Questionably a synonym of Abudefduf hoefleri (Steindachner 1881) -- (Allen 1991:234 [ref. 19344]). •Synonym of Abudefduf hoefleri (Steindachner 1881)-- (Parenti 2021:40 [ref. 38418]). Current status: Uncertain as Abudefduf hoefleri (Steindachner 1881). Pomacentridae: Glyphisodontinae. Habitat: marine.
