Holotype: MZB 3499. Paratypes: CAS 49339-40 (3, 3); MZB 3500-01 (1, 1); USNM 230259 (2). •Valid as Pangio superba (Roberts 1989) -- (Kottelat et al. 1993:61 [ref. 23448], Kottelat & Widjanarti 2005:159 [ref. 28284], Tan & Kottelat 2009:58 [ref. 30261], Kottelat 2012:40 [ref. 32367], Kottelat 2013:184 [ref. 32989]). Current status: Valid as Pangio superba (Roberts 1989). Cobitidae. Distribution: Borneo, Indonesia. Habitat: freshwater.
