Current status: Valid as Acantopsis rungthipae Boyd, Nithirojpakdee & Page 2017. Cobitidae. Distribution: Southeast Asia: Mekong and Chao Phraya River basins, southwestern and central Thailand, Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam. Habitat: freshwater.
