Burgess 1989:132 [ref. 12860] has the species in Glyptothorax (Sisoridae). •Valid as Akysis baramensis Fowler 1905 -- (Roberts 1989:134 [ref. 6439], Kottelat et al. 1993:75 [ref. 23448], Ng & Kottelat 1996:19 [ref. 22212], Ng 1996:3 [ref. 22484], Kottelat & Lim 1996:241 [ref. 23210], Ng & Kottelat 1998:1059 [ref. 23903], Ng & Siebert 2004:5 [ref. 27936], Ng & Rainboth 2005:33 [ref. 28353]). •Valid as Pseudobagarius baramensis (Fowler 1905) -- (Ferraris 2007:16 [ref. 29155], Kottelat 2013:220 [ref. 32989], Ng & Kottelat 2021:328 [ref. 38407]). Current status: Valid as Pseudobagarius baramensis (Fowler 1905). Akysidae: Akysinae. Distribution: Baram River basin, Borneo, Malaysia. Habitat: freshwater.
